Harvest Stomp 24th September 2017
Delighted to announce that ‘Jamboree’ will be part of Harvest Stomp in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park again this year! Jamboree is a free public feast of jam that celebrates the unexpected fruitfulness of the urban environment.
Come and join us to sample the delicious jams, jellies, chutneys and other preserves that we’ve made during this season’s East End Jam workshops: plum jam and mahonia jelly made with Gayhurst Primary School, apple and blackberry jam, plum jam, East End chutney and rosehip and apple jelly made with Gainsborough Road adult learning centre, plus more still to come (still in the hedgerow!). You can also find out about how they were made, where we picked the fruit, and how you can get involved in next season’s foraging walks and workshops.
Expert forager Jason Irving will be leading a walk around the park at 3pm, and more information about the other events and activities taking place through the afternoon can be found here: http://www.queenelizabetholympicpark.co.uk/whats-on/events/2017/09/harvest-stomp-2017
