Join us for a foraging walk around West Ham, followed by a jam making workshop.

Next Friday 15th September I’ll be running a second workshop with the fantastic adult education team at Gainsborough Learning Centre in West Ham. Although the blackberries seem be be very early this year I’m hoping we’ll still manage a good crop – along with apples, sloes, haws, rosehips and hopefully some other finds too.

Led by artist Clare
Qualmann the walk will begin on the Greenway by Stratford High Street, going through Memorial Recreation Ground to the Gainsborough
Road kitchen where we will transform our pickings into jams, jellies and chutneys.

The walk and workshop take place on Friday 15th September
2017, from 9.30am – 5pm, we will also have a finish point at 3pm if you can only make it for a shorter day. Places are free, but booking is essential as space is limited.

The preserves that we make will feature in the East
End
Jamboree – a celebration of London jam, on Sunday 24th September 2017 at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, as part of the Harvest
 Stomp
event. Participants can take home a jar of their jam on the day too.
