New links and partnerships

As the East End Jam project grows I am making new links and starting to scope out potential partnerships. As part of a project with UCL Culture this week has seen some great introductory meetings – with professor Michael Heinrich, in the school of pharmacy at UCL – whose research into medicinal plants explores the food-medicine spectrum and the way in which people use them. His book Phytopharmacy is a great resource for anyone interested in herbal medicine. Screen Shot 2017-05-27 at 09.53.49

Equally exciting was a meeting with Nicole Pisani at Gayhurst School in Hackney. We are planning to work together on a series of foraging walks and preserving workshops with children from the school this summer, and again at the start of the autumn term.
